Valley

18 Days · Solo Traveler · Tsum Valley & Manaslu Circuit

18 Days
1 Solo
5,106m Max Altitude

"Enter the Valley of Happiness — where the slaughter of animals is forbidden, ancient monasteries cling to impossible cliffs, and an entire civilisation has chosen peace over progress."

The Tsum Valley is Nepal's most sacred hidden valley — a place where Tibetan Buddhist culture has survived untouched for centuries. Combined with the legendary Manaslu Circuit and its dramatic 5,106m Larkya La pass crossing, this 18-day itinerary is our most spiritually profound and physically rewarding trek. With the 2026 removal of the two-person group rule, solo travelers can now legally explore this extraordinary restricted region. Your dedicated guide, all permits, and full logistics — handled entirely by us.

Arrive at Jagat, the official gateway checkpoint to the Manaslu Conservation Area. Your Restricted Area Permit is verified here by the army post. This is the last settlement before the trail branches toward Tsum Valley.

"Beyond Jagat, you enter the restricted zone. The modern world stays behind. What lies ahead is a civilisation that has chosen silence."

Ancient mani walls, some stretching hundreds of metres, line the approach. The village gompa houses centuries-old manuscripts and thangka paintings. This is a place where time has genuinely stopped.

"The mani walls of Chhokang Paro are among the longest in the Himalayas. Walking beside them in absolute silence, you understand why they call this the Valley of Happiness."

The views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks are overwhelming. Spend time with the resident monks before descending to Nile for the night.

Visit the ancient Ribung Gompa and explore the village prayer wheels. The slower pace today prepares your body for the high-altitude days ahead.

The stone shelters sit at 4,460m in a stark, rocky amphitheatre surrounded by glaciers. An early dinner and an even earlier bedtime are essential. Your guide reviews the pre-dawn start plan and ensures all gear is pass-ready.
